The difference with urostomy pouches is the drainable closure. Urostomy pouches have a tap to allow you to empty your urine into the toilet (instead of the clip or velcro closures for colostomy and ileostomy pouches). The tap also allows you to connect to a night drainage bag so you don’t have to get up to empty throughout the night.
