I’m going on a date in a few days. Nervous? A little. The only other date (or something close to it) I’ve been on since surgery, Coltrane was not particularly welcoming toward. Coltrane acting out when I’m nervous is not an acceptable form of stress management.
We’re going out to dinner, he let me pick the restaurant so I looked on the menu already to give me an idea of what I’ll feel comfortable ordering. After dinner we’re going to go listen to a live band. I am excited to meet him and to spend an evening where I’m forced to focus on something other than Coltrane. As far as dating with an ostomy goes, I figure having an ostomy is probably kind of a jerk repellent! If they don’t like my stoma, I don’t like them. Easy as pie. That said, I’m going to give him a chance to realize he likes me before I throw all my dirty laundry in his face.
Now, I just have to pick what to wear…
